Webster 5-for-7 Against Knights Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 Karl Webster told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Webster of the John Jay HS Patriots did against the Evans HS Knights. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Knights, who suffered a 16-6 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Karl Webster hit a solo-shot off Bob Watkins in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Webster is batting .373 this season in 15 games with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 67 at-bats. |
