Streak Finally Over, Murphy Held Hitless Thursday, April 10th, 2025 Steve Murphy's 24-game hitting streak was snapped today at Vendettas Ballpark. The 17-year-old Bishop Gorman HS center fielder failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats in the game with the Bishop Amat HS, but Bishop Gorman HS came out the winner, topping them 7-6. One of his teammates told BNN, "The streak was no big deal to Steve. He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames. That's the bottom line." Murphy is batting at a .500 pace this season, picking up 19 hits in 38 at-bats with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
