Bruno Hits for the Cycle Monday, April 7th, 2025 Fresno HS's Juan Bruno went 4-for-5 in today's game and hit for the cycle, collecting all four types of hits and 3 RBIs. But his effort could not overcome the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves, who won the game 12-11. "I didn't really think about it at the time, although after the third hit, it snuck into my mind," Bruno told reporters. "The crowd certainly let me know in that last at-bat, that I was going for the cycle ... and I was able to make solid contact and get it. In the end the only thing that matters is that we lost," Bruno added. Juan Bruno walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Greg Yager in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and singled in the 11th. This year Bruno is hitting .600 with 5 home runs. |
