Nieto August's Best Hurler in SNL Monday, September 1st, 2025 A 5-0 record with a 2.23 ERA is a pretty good month for most any pitcher. The Southern League thought it was worthy of an award and named Francisco Nieto, starter for the Salem Silver Souls, August's Pitcher of the Month. He also held the opposition to a .208 average while posting 34 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. To date this season, Nieto has registered 26 starts, 10-7 won-lost mark, 3.90 ERA, 157 IP, 148 strikeouts and 59 walks. Opposing teams have hit .231 against him. |
