Great Stroke: Charfauros Gets 5 Hits Saturday, June 21st, 2025 "It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Germán Charfauros after his 5-hit performance against the Missions. "No offense meant to San Jose, but it was like I was back in little league again. I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Missions Ballpark." The Santa Monica left fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 12-0 victory. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Germán worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Charfauros said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Germán Charfauros singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Mal Park in the 7th and si ngled in the 9th. For the year Charfauros has hit .296 with 18 home runs, 63 RBIs and scored 63 runs. |
