Morgan on Fire: 6-for-7 for Tuscaloosa Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 No matter what the Amarillo Archdukes threw at him today, Albert Morgan hit it. He easily handled Archdukes pitching, going 6 for 7 and helping the Trout Slayers to a 18-9 triumph at The Lair in Charlotte. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Amarillo skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Albert Morgan hit a solo-shot off Sergio Cruz in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Morgan is presently hitting at a .367 pace with 5 home runs and 57 RBIs. He has played in 94 games and scored 68 times. |
