20-Game Hitting Streak for Detorres Friday, July 11th, 2025 The red-hot hitting Felipe Detorres is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 30-year-old Detroit second baseman continued the streak today at Saddlehorn Stadium with 1 hit in 5 at-bats as the X-Wings got the best of the Amarillo Archdukes 8-5. "It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Detroit, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Felipe Detorres flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. This year Detorres is batting .309 with 5 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
