Manager Tyler Told to Take a Hike by Lee's Summit
Monday, November 11th, 2024
The future of the Lee's Summit Tigers will not include Mark Tyler.

Much-criticized for his in-game managing by local scribes of late, Tyler has been fired as manager of the Tigers.

The decision is believed to have been made primarily by the team's owner, who was always quick to publicly criticize Tyler's decisions on the field and in the clubhouse.

When reached at his home in Lee's Summit, the owner said the decision was made "in the best interest of the team," but he refused to elaborate on the specific reasons which led to the firing.

Tyler told BNN he plans to explore his options for another job in baseball.

"I'll miss Lee's Summit and I'll miss the Tigers, but I won't miss having everything I do second-guessed," he said.
