McKinney of Salem Player of the Week Monday, August 12th, 2024 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Southern League, but last week Jeff McKinney of the Salem Silver Souls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. McKinney rocked opposing pitching for a .545 average (12-for-22), no home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. McKinney is currently batting .278 with 4 home runs, 22 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 68 hits in 245 at-bats. |
