Southern League Announces #1 Player Monday, April 15th, 2024 22-year-old Leonard Young made a few BlackIron headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Southern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .448 average. Young collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 6 runs. |
