Patrick Hits 3 Homers Against Detroit Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Roy Patrick did today at Saddlehorn Stadium. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the Richmond Flairs 12-0 win over Detroit. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Patrick said. "Good things happen, when that happens." He blistered the X-Wings for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 4 times. The Detroit skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today." Roy Patrick hit a solo-shot off José Ramírez in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off José Ramírez in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dave Heath in the 7th and walked in the 8th. In 2024 Patrick has hit at a .304 clip with 70 hits, 30 home runs, 65 RBIs and has scored 58 times. |
