Star of the Week Named in PIO Monday, May 29th, 2023 It was announced today by the Pioneer League that Saskatoon shortstop António Yánez had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Saskatoon shortstop wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .444 average (8-for-18) with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. So far this year Yánez is hitting .286 with 15 home runs. |
