Mike Baker out 11 Months With Injury Saturday, August 26th, 2023 The Butler White Sox learned that Mike Baker is likely to be out for 11 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Reading Rainbows. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Butler manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Mike is back in action." This season Baker has made 5 relief appearances and saved 0 games. His record is 0-0 with 1 strikeout in 4.1 innings with a 4.15 ERA. |
