Vista, Los Angeles Make Trade Sunday, December 26th, 2021 The Panthers and Bruins pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 35-year-old starting pitcher Cipriano Montáñez head to Los Angeles in exchange for 35-year-old minor league first baseman Greg O'Day, 23-year-old minor league shortstop Bill Savage, 29-year-old center fielder José Esparza, 31-year-old reliever Didyu Ghosh and 33-year-old minor league reliever José Orozco. A source close to Vista officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." Lifetime Montáñez has 192 victories and 120 defeats with a 3.47 ERA. Lifetime in 695 games Esparza is batting .244 with 15 home runs and 218 RBIs. |
